Chapter Two: Hunters

"Mia," I whispered. "There!"
Not far ahead, two humans walked through the long grass, unsuspecting. They were an older couple.
"Alfred," the lady said. "Look at these flowers!"
"Barbara, we have to see the historic castles. We can look at flowers back in England. I want to see the ruins."
"I want the grumpy one," Mia snickered.
       I grinned, and laughed once.
       "Stalk or greet?"
Mia thought for a minute, and jumped to the ground from our positions in the old oak tree.
She looked up at me. "Greet. It's the least we can do for the oldies."
I leaped down, and gestured to them. "Let's do it."
We strolled along, pretending to look at the patches of wildflowers and snickering as two deer bolted away as we walked past.
"Oh, hello," I greeted them as we crossed the old peoples' path.
       "Good morning, dears," Barbara said.
"Do you mind, but, you aren't from around here, are you?" Mia asked in her sickly-sweet voice.
"Oh, dear, no," Barbara breathed. "England, actually. Do you live here?"
Mia nodded. "Yes, we lived at Kiorra Castle, actually."
Alfred looked up from the ground at the mention of a castle.
"A castle? You live in a castle?"
I answered. "Yes. Would you like to see? I am sure the others wouldn't mind."
"Oh, no, we don't want to bother yo-"
"Yes!" Alfred quickly cut off his wife. "Yes, please. We'd love that."
"Okay. Come with us, please. Oh, by the way, I'm Mia."
       "And I am Grace."
"Such beautiful names for pretty girls like you." Barbara smiled. "I am Barbara, and this is Alfred."
"Thank you, Barbara." Mia flashed a grin, her perfect-teeth almost reflecting the sun's light.
Bingo, I thought, sending it to Mia.
I know, right? This is great. Although, I do feel a little bad fo Barbara... Can't we just kill the old geezer?
I laughed aloud, and Barbara looked at me, questioningly.
"Oh, nothing. I just thought of something that happened the other day."
"Tell me, girls," Alfred said. "How old is this Kiorra Castle?"
Your turn, I sent to Mia.
Aw! Fine. I always have to tell the history of the castle!
I flicked a wicked grin at her, too fast for the humans to notice I even twitched.
"A few thousand years old, actually, Alfred. Our ancestors built it before anyone else had found this part of Greece. Though, I don't think it's actually owned by Greece... We're not sure where our land actually is. Greece...? I don't think so. I think there was something signed a few years after the castle was built and people showed up - demanding they hand over the castle. And, if I remember correctly, it said that the castle was on seperate land to Greece."
"If you don't know where you are... How do you get your mail? That would be a bit confusing for the poor postmen."
       "Oh, we don't get mail."
There was a silence following Mia's comment.
       "Oh..." Barbara thought about this.
"Careful," I warned them. "There's a bit of a ledge, here."
We climbed down the soft, green hill, and once past a wall of oak trees, our majestic castle stood in all its glory.
       "She's a beauty," Alfred said.
I nodded. "We love it. Wouldn't trade it for anything else."
Alfred nodded as he rushed past us, his eyes googling at the tall towers and dark blocks that it was made out of.
Time to roll, Mia thought to me.
       Gotcha.
"Change of plans, actually," I said, my voice seeming to seep into an evil tone. "I think we might just..."
As Barbara and Alfred turned to us, I narrowed my eyes, and leapt at them.
Dun, Dun, Duuuun.
hahaaaaa.
